Mythbusters are also paintball da Vincis
The popular Discovery Channel show Mythbusters features a team of uber-geeks who examine urban myths and attempt to prove their real-world plausibility. The senior members of the team — and the brains behind the show — are Jamie Hyneman (of the famous beret and walrus mustache combo), and Adam Savage (aka “red-headed ball of energy”). Together, they have years of experience in special-effects and prop making, in addition to a wealth of other skills.
They recently put these talents to jaw-dropping use at NVISION ‘08, a visual computing expo in San Jose. In order to explain the difference between two different types of computer processors without bogging down the presentation (even this ultra-geek MINER can’t grok the deets), the duo figured out a way to create compelling art … in less than a second … using paintball guns. 1,100 paintball guns.
Here’s hoping Hyneman and Savage continue to use their powers for good.

They won’t use their powers for good. They’ll use them for AWESOME!

The end, where they show it all going in slow motion is freaking awesome.

That is so cool. Can you imagine how much time it took to get that all correct? Or how long it would take to reload it?
