“Human luge” video amazes, gives us heartburn
Okay, so this ain’t exactly new news — but the MINE mantra has always been that everything is new to somebody at some point, and awesome stuff always needs coverage (however dusty it might be in the hyperspeed eyes of the ‘Net).
The Buggy Rollin’ rolling suit — basically a armored costume with 31 rollerblade-type wheels placed upon it so the wearer becomes a human skateboard — was invented by Jean-Yves Blondeau a few years back. Well, about a year ago, some equally daring (read: crazy) person decided to Buggy Roll … down the Swiss Alps.
Thank goodness there was a video camera there to capture the madness:
To hell with the Luge, when is this going to become an Olympic event?

This reminds me of the “Wheelers” in “Return to Oz,” the acid fueled sequel to the Wizard of OZ starring Fairuza Balk.

I can just hear the cyclists as this guy screams past … “What the …?!”
How funny is it that an unpowered vehicle was speeding?
Wonder if he’d come over here and do a roll down off the 12,000′ highway out of Rocky Mountain National Park.

They should’ve included the speedometer in the take!

Well, that would be one way to beat gas prices …
