LEGO fan builds his very own Tori Amos
If you ever wanted to artistically capture the deepest essence of quirky, iconoclastic, irreverent singer-songwriter Tori Amos — and come on, people, who hasn’t? — we recommend using LEGOs.
This image in the Make Magazine Flickr pool caught our eye and wouldn’t let go. Its creator, a LEGO Maniac named Steven Goodwin, not only has an unrivaled affection for Ms. Amos, but considerable time on his hands.
In addition to creating this, ah, unique tribute to her likeness, Goodwin also posted a how-to on his blog. You know, in case you want to create your blocky proclamations of fandom.
(For the record, we’ll totally give someone $20 to create the MINE logo — orange helmet, pickaxe and hammer — in LEGO using this technique.)
So yeah. We dig Tori Amos. We admire this guy’s unconventional dedication. And yes, we are a little creeped out by it, too.
